Crescent Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli has become the latest rider who will be bringing you a fortnightly instalment of his diary on the official Bennetts British Superbike Championship website, building up to the start of his debut season and keeping fans up to date with all his latest news.
Here he brings you the first edition, over to Sylvain:
"I will start with my first ride on the Crescent Suzuki at Brands Hatch on 4 November, we had the day at the circuit and it all went really well. I am now looking forward to getting back out on the Suzuki, trying other circuits and working together with the team.
The day after that I went to see the new James Bond movie with my wife; there is a new cinema opened in Leicester and it is huge. It is only about 25 minutes away from where we live so it was a relaxing evening, although I do prefer the older Bond films!
Then on Thursday Motorcycle News came and visited our house as they are doing a piece in this week's paper. They spent the day with me and were shown around where we live and we had lunch together. I have been doing several interviews with UK magazines which is really good; I have also spoken to Tony Carter for a piece in Motorcycle Racer too.
Other than that I have been spending time with my friends and family as I haven't seen them for quite a while where we were travelling for the last rounds of MotoGP. I think I spent three days in the UK at the end of last season, so it is nice now to be able to chill out with them. We went to a wedding last week; it was my wife's cousin and it was a really nice day. I have also been spending lots of time with my daughters who are three years and seven months old.
At the moment I am not able to train as I still have a bad knee from my crash in Valencia. I have some torn ligaments and have another examination on it today and then we will see what they say as I want to get back into training as soon as I can.
I have a few things coming up over the few weeks; I should be picking up a new Suzuki Swift to drive around in so I am looking forward to that and then there is the Motorcycle Show at the Birmingham NEC. I hope that I can meet some of the fans as I am going to be there for two days, on Thursday 27th November and also on Saturday 29 November. I will be on the Suzuki stand at 11am and at 2pm to meet people so I hope to see some of you there."
