BSMA CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE WIN FOR LUKE DEAN

The final round of the BSMA championship was held at Brookthorpe in Gloucestershire at the weekend, with Relentless Suzuki Youth academy rider Luke Dean, taking the 85cc Big Wheel Championship title aboard his RM85.
With the track in perfect condition on the Saturday the RM85 was put through its paces during both eventful races and saw Luke come away with both race wins. Unfortunately the rain came across on Sunday and a decision was made for the racing to be cancelled. With Matthew Bayliss Luke’s closest rival coming fourth and third in Saturday’s racing, Luke was therefore crowned BSMA champion with a 36 point lead.
Youth Relentless Team manager Paul Butler commented, ”I am very pleased with the determination and progress Luke has shown during the course of the year. He has matured as a rider and will be ready for the challenges next season.”
