This Sunday saw Josh Chilcott and Liam Ryland of Team MKM Rocketman Suzuki both take podiums in Round 5 of the QRA British Enduro Championship in the setting of Cwmcynydd Forest.
Liam Ryland brought home another first for MKM Rocketman Suzuki in the Stock class on his LT-R450, further cementing his lead in the Stock Class and proving yet again what an amazing machine the LT-R450 is straight from the crate. In the Clubman Class, Josh Chilcott brought his Suzuki LT-R450 home in 1st place adding another good result to the last two rounds. Sam Barrett unfortunately had to retire but the team reported they were pleased with his overall performance.
In the Pro-Class Steve Atkins rode well on his recently updated engine spec-LT-R450. Still getting dialled in to his new spec, Atkins rode a good race and finished in 3rd; happy with his new power. Andrew Davies was also representing Team MKM Rocketman Suzuki in the Pro-Class but an accident forced him to retire.
In the Expert Class Lewis Hill was leading the pack, something he is becoming accustomed to! However, an unforeseen Welsh bog slowed his progress, losing some valuable time in getting the ATV unstuck. Hill finished just outside the top 10 in 11th, which was still good enough to keep him at the top of the Expert Class overall standings.
Suzuki GB marketing manager, George Cheeseman commented “MKM Rocketman Suzuki have achieved some great results again and are doing well in all classes. With the second half of the Championship now underway, I’m sure it will continue”.
The team now have a few weeks before the QRA Great 8 (23/08/08) and Pont du Vaux 12 hour Enduro in France.
