Team Anderson ATV at round 5 of the MMX Quad Championship

Round 5 of the ACU British MMX Quad Championship took place this weekend at Dean Moor, Cumbria hosted by NETT Quad Club where Team Anderson ATV riders Carl Bunce and Mark Watson continued to compete for the championship on their Suzuki LT-R450s.
Carl Bunce, after a not so brilliant qualifier, starting the first race in 18th had two very steady races coming in 11th in the first race and 9th in the second. This gave Bunce an overall position of 9th on the day, earning him valuable championship points and keeping him in contention of a good final championship result.
Mark Watson unfortunately did not get the opportunity to claim any championship points this weekend. Watson had a good qualifying session and started on the grid in 5th but in lap 2 Watson and Tordoff made contact in the air over one of the jumps with Watson fairing the worse with his LT-R450 landing on top of him. As a precaution Watson was taken away by Ambulance for a check up before returning trackside as a spectator feeling bruised and battered.
Bunce commented after the race, “I was disappointed with my qualifying, I couldn’t find my rhythm and then in the first race I got serious arm pump. I was a bit happier with the second race though I didn’t like the track too much, I prefer it when they are more technical”.
Team manager Paul Anderson commented, “I was happy with Carl’s riding today, he had a solid ride and achieved a decent overall result. It was a shame about Mark, on the plus side it could have been a lot worse; he took a heavy pounding”.
