Richie Worralls takes the Championship crown
Oct 2007
Coming into the final round of the British Masters championship with a 39 point lead over second position, Richie Worralls last ride of the season on his Suzuki big-wheel RM85 was to see him take the Championship crown.
With the Foxhills circuit near Swindon being perfectly graded, the weekend could not have gone much better. To ensure nothing went wrong a good pace was kept in all races ensuring a top three position, and even allowed for some show boating on the final race on the Sunday! Missing out of the first overall at the weekend by one point, second position was given, but with a 38 point difference in place at the end of the round, it was to ensure Richie came out big-wheel 85cc Champion.
Competing in three separate championships this season, Richie took the Elite Youth Cup series, a second in the BYMX series, and now the British Masters crown, to top a near perfect year.
Richie commented, "I've really enjoyed this season and the support from everyone has been fantastic. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way, and I hope my performance this season has gone some way to repay them all".
