Security mark your Suzuki off-road bike

Suzuki are pleased to offer a simple and effective way to protect your Suzuki motorcycle, ATV or outboard engine from loss or theft, in partnership with Retainagroup.

In light of the increasing levels of theft, particularly in the current economic climate, security marking and registration has become increasingly important. This security marking solution is easy to apply, permanent and the details are registered and retained within the Retainagroup security database.

	So How Does it Work?

The system is based on three simple but highly effective elements – Marking, Registration and Verification.

	Marking

The pack comes with a number of different methods for marking your Suzuki in a variety of locations on the machine. The labels and stencils have been laser cut with a unique code and even if the labels are removed, the code will still be visible under UV light.

	Registration

Once your machine has been marked with the unique code it needs to be registered with the International Security Register (ISR) and with Suzuki. Your Suzuki Dealer can do this on your behalf or you can either complete and return the enclosed registration form or go on-line at www.theISR.org

If you sell your machine or your details change the ISR can be updated accordingly.

	Verification

The 24/7 manned contact line (no answer machines or recorded messages) provides an all year round, immediate verification service for information held on the ISR. This increases the likelihood of marked and registered items being found and returned to their rightful owners in the event of a loss or theft.

The Stratosphere was revealed at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show in 2005. It was designed as a showcase of next-generation technologies that were under development by Suzuki engineers, and was a fully running prototype, with most of the features refined by in-house testing.

The engine is the most striking part of the Stratosphere, a smooth running in-line six cylinder 1100cc unit, designed to prove the benefits of a balanced straight-six configuration over a conventional four cylinder. Power delivery was smooth, with great mid-range pick-up and the possibility of extremely high revs, all in a package no wider than a four cylinder GSX1400 engine.

Other features included an auto-shift mechanism, giving the option of full manual or semi-auto shifting, key-less start, a camera between the headlights to record rides, LED lighting, adjustable windscreen, integrated luggage racks and even rare damascus steel radiator covers.

With it's flowing lines, tactile materials and exquisite detailing, it all added up to an extremely distinctive and attractive design concept, but with the twist of being a fully functional road bike.

An ATV is not a toy. An ATV handles differently from all vehicles. A collision or rollover can occur quickly, even during routine manoeuvres such as turning and driving on hills and over obstacles, if you fail to take proper precautions.

Always read the Owners Manual carefully and follow the operating procedures described. Pay special attention to the warnings contained in the manual and all the labels on the machine.

The manufacturer advises that no one under the age of 16 years should operate this ATV and you should be aware of the requirements of the Agriculture (Accidents to Children) Regulations 1958 for children aged 16 or 17 employed in agriculture.

Never carry a passenger on an ATV. Carrying a passenger may upset the balance of the ATV and may cause loss of control.

Suzuki GB PLC has joined forces with the Automobile Association Ltd, the UK's leading breakdown assistance to bring you Suzuki Assistance, a comprehensive roadside assistance package available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

The Suzuki Assistance package includes:

Roadside Assistance. If your motorcycle breaks down at the roadside and is immobilised, an AA patrol or appointed agent will get you back on the road. In the exceptional circumstances where an 'on-the spot' repair proves impossible and the motorcycle cannot be repaired locally within a reasonable time, you can utilise the Relay service detailed below

Home Start. If your motorcycle breaks down at home, Home Start will bring help to your doorstep. If the motorcycle cannot be repaired, the AA will transport it to the nearest authorised Suzuki dealer, or another desitination of your choice, whichever is nearer. (Relay is not available for Home Start breakdowns, ie, when the breakdown is at or within 1/4 miles of your home).

Relay. If a prompt local repair at the roadside is not possible, the AA will arrange onward passage for you, one passenger and your motorcycle (including trailer/side-car on tow at any time, all subject to the restrictions on eligibility) to any single mainland UK destination. This also includes the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands; however any ferry costs must be borne by you.

Message Service. If required, the AA can also get a message to a relative or colleague to let them know what is happening.

This 12 Month cover is only available when your new motorcycle or scooter is purchased in the UK from an authorised Suzuki dealer.
